Hawaii: Day 2

Today began early with a quick cup of Kona coffee, followed by a jog/walk 1.3 miles down to the beach for a quick dip in the ocean. I stood there, ankle deep in the slowly lapping waves, reading my kindle with the sun on my back. That was when I first - finally- felt relaxed.

We came back up to the house (picked up by Christopher, as it was getting too hot for another 1.3 miles uphill) and had a wonderful breakfast of chorizo, eggs, salsa and fresh avocado. Delicious!! I'm still dealing with a lingering cold, so taking it easy has been first on my agenda.

After a quick FaceTime with the kiddos and mom, I'm sitting and enjoying the view.

Thank you, mom and dad, for taking such good care of my babies, allowing us to get away without one single little worry. Is kind of rest was vital for my body and soul, and I thank you.
