:: alone time. I'll take it where I can get it. ::

I have been taking care of three sniffly, snotty, sneezy, cranky kiddies today, so this will be brief.

I used to hate grocery shopping. Before we had kids, Ryan and I would go do the grocery shopping together. It was nice to have him along to share in the misery. Each week, I would groan when I realized it was time to go grocery shopping. I wouldn't spend a whole lot of time meal planning, budgeting or organizing. We'd pretty much just go to the store and wing it. And I hated it.

Now, I look back at those times and chuckle. Now that quiet time for myself is rarer than back then, I LOVE grocery shopping. Strolling down the aisles slowly, I try to take my time, if I have it. I meticulously choose recipes and ingredients, find good deals and meal plan. I guess with three babies, I HAD to get organized. I really enjoy the process now - including the cooking. More than ever.

So, I had my quiet time tonight. I went late in the evening, which was nice. No crowds...quiet...perfect. I needed that before I face tomorrow with more sicky crankiness.

I miss leaving the house. Good night.
