:: Aidan Andrew Barrans ::

The other day:
Aidan: (mumbling something incoherent, but I could tell it was smart-alecky)
Me: "What did you just say?"
Aidan: "Don't worry about it."

Aidan, sitting on the potty, to Nana: "Nana, it's little again!"...(interpret that any way you wish)

Aidan (today): "Do you know why I talk so much?"

Aidan, as I had just filled up the gas tank at Fred Meyer: "*siiiiiigggghh*...what did you spend?"

Aidan, as I kissed him goodnight one evening last week: "*kiss*...now, keep it there forever."

Here are his 4-year stats:

Weight: 34 lbs
Height: 3' 2"
BP 88/54

He's a little guy still.  We'll keep an eye on that.  He's really tiny.  He did great at the doctor's office - passed all screenings - hearing, sight and everything.  Fully 100% potty trained and independent on the toilet.  Gets himself dressed.  Can spell his name.  Can almost write his name.  Draws things.  Is actual big boy.  SOB.  Where has the time gone?

my big boy

i carry your heart with me
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
