:: heck, it's cold and i'm loving it ::

I've been off the blog radar for the past few days, recovering from my CFH (cold from hell).  Here are some of the highlights from the past week or so:

- Girls Night with...well, the girls!  We went to Bellevue Square and ate a yummy dinner at Red Robin, followed by A Christmas Carol in IMAX 3D (I highly recommend it).  It was nice to spend a few hours with such lovely women.

- Saturday: we went and cut down our Christmas Tree at Reade Christmas Tree Ranch.  It was sunny, but cooooold outside!  After that, we headed home, put the tree in water, then got ready for Julie's birthday party at our place.  I made a huge pot of homemade chicken noodle soup, which paired excellently with yummy fresh french bread.  Julie's such a special lady, and the best mom-in-law.  It was fun to celebrate her.

- Sunday, I started coming down with a nasty cold, but braved it in order to head out into the freezing weather with a few favorite gals of mine.  We skipped out of church early and headed to Qwest Field for the Seahawks vs. 49ers game.  We sat in our seats the first half, but luckily Becca had a couple of club passes so we could go in and get warm if we needed to and use the nicer potties.  During the second half, we crashed a suite that Keri's dad and brother were hanging out in and spent the rest of the time in there.  Warmth, free coffee/water, and a private bathroom couldn't be beat.  It was a fantastic day!  I ended it by watching Ryan play with his band at a local art gallery.  Needless to say, after a weekend like that one, I am sick, run down and tired!  I haven't moved from the couch since Monday and it's going to stay that way this week!

Now, I'm just working on finishing up some Christmas shopping and finally finishing decorating my house (it's almost done).  This is definitely my favorite time of year.  Bring on some snow!!
