:: howdy ::

Um, so hi.  I'm alive.  I took a little blog haitus for a couple of weeks.  Here's what's been happenin':

We went to the doctor 7/10 and saw our little kidney bean baby.  There is only 1 baby and it's little heartbeat was going strong.  I still haven't had any sickness, but have had moments of queasy, dizziness every once in awhile.  Other than that, just tiiiiired.  Turns out, too, that my due date is now February 25th, so we aren't as far along as first thought.  Thus the reason for skipping an update on the blog.  I'll be posting my 9 week post on Thursday.  Still one more month in this first trimester....ugh.  I'll try to get the picture scanned and posted on thursday as well.

We just got back from visiting my family in Idaho last night.  Ryan took Aidan, Delia and I to the airport last Monday and then drove over Wednesday night, then we all drove home yesterday.  The flight went well (it's just an hour) and it was pretty easy to keep the kids occupied.  Ryan was able to get a gate pass to help me get the kids through security and into the line at the gate.  We didn't allow ourselves enough time before the flight, so I didn't have time to use the bathroom (I had to pee so bad!) and I was beyond thirsty.  So I had to hold it for the entire flight and Delia drank all my juice on the flight as well.  Oh, the things we give up for our kids.  Anyway, it wore me out!  Seeing mom's face as we walked off the plane was a welcomed sight!!  Thanks for getting that gate pass, mom!  As for Idaho, we had such a nice, relaxing visit.  Mom took over most of the kids' care, so I was able to relax, relax, relax...I felt a little spoiled.  Okay, a lot spoiled.  The kids had fun playing with Nana, Papa, and Auntie Melissa!  It was in the 100's most of the time we were there, so we stayed mostly indoors (except for one night at the water park and a couple trips to see movies) and watched the kids run in the sprinklers a couple of times.  It was pure relaxation.  And it was awesome.  Thanks, Mom for helping me with the kids and letting me rest, and for being a mom.  I know you care so much and I appreciate you more than you'll ever know!!

We stopped in Ellensburg and had our customary dinner with Jeremy and Tracy Sandeno, along with their two boys.  It was great to see them, their home, and let the kids play together for a bit.  A welcome stop in our trip, for sure!  The kids did great in the car (as always) and now, we are home.  It was nice to walk into a clean house (thank you, Ryan) and go to sleep in our own beds.  Looking foward to a slow week and temps in the 80's!

Have a great day everyone!!
