(*somebody gave me some camera advice, and I changed the camera...better camera for a little bit more $.)

Any of you that know me, know that I love taking pictures.  Ever since we went to Europe in 2003, I became hooked on taking pictures.  Armed with my first little 3.5 megapixel camera, i took over 1700 photos.  I would like to say I have a pretty good eye.  My favorite subjects are my kids (duh), my friends, and anything outside.  I have taken some pretty good photos that are frameworthy, but I am quickly realizing that my little Canon point and shoot is no longer doing the job.  It's elementary.  It's basic.  It's boring and weak.  I need more.  I yearn for more.

That's where this Canon 40d comes in.  It's not the top-of-the-line Canon, but it's sufficient for what I would like to start doing.  The lenses are universal for Canon, so if I ever did upgrade, I wouldn't have to buy new ones.  I've read up on this camera and it takes beautiful pictures from what I've seen.  I'm restless.

Expensive, I know.  I'm considering taking on a part time evening (retail?) job just to save up for this camera and some accessories.  Amazon sells it for $1,050.00 so I don't think it would take that long...6 months maybe?  Until then, I'll get a couple of books and pore over them so I'm good and ready if and when I do have this camera.  Eventually, I could see myself maybe making some income with my camera.  That would be a dream!!

Thank you for listening.  Sometimes this blog is like therapy for me.  It helps to get it off my chest.   Now, excuse me while I clean up the drool.
