it's a zoo

The Fam took advantage of the glorious sunny day today and drove down to Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. with aidan in his stroller and delia strapped to me in her bjorn, we trekked around the park enjoying the animals and the sunshine. many things occurred to me today - some being:
1 - i am so glad to live in the northwest. it is so beautiful - the views of the water, and mountains (namely, rainier) are so amazing.
2 - i love my family and my son. my son has such a great personality and has the most beautiful blue eyes i've ever seen. you should've seen him grinning at me from the carousel today, proudly perched on top of his horse and clinging to the pole with his little hands as it went round and round...*sigh* i love that kid
3 - i am so glad i'm not pregnant any more. it was so nice to walk around for a whole day without my back hurting. when i was with child, i couldn't even walk safeway. hallelujah for no back pain!
4 - i am content. sure, there are a few things here and there that i need to tweak (need to get more organized, get on that diet, etc.), but as a whole, i am truly content. i had this glorious revelation today when my little daughter snuggled her tiny face into my chest, sighed, smiled, and promptly fell fast asleep, where she remained most of the day.
